Bridgewater Canal & Dunham Massey 10km

Service Description

Setting off from the urban sprawl of Timperley and Altrincham we join the Bridgewater Canal where the world suddenly becomes a bit quieter. Heading past old industrial sites, amongst newer housing developments, soon making way into countryside with scenic views, after passing through the historic Dunham Town (actually a village) we will take the opportunity to head in to Dunham Massey Deer Park and view the outside of the house before continuing our journey, we will then head through the streets of Altrincham, to the metrolink stop. From there you can jump back on the tram if that's how you got there or explore what Altrincham has to offer. As usual there will be plenty of snippets of info along the way. Our Longer Walks are around 3hrs in length, at our usual pace taking the opportunity to explore different areas in a bit more detail. Sometimes with the option for lunch afterwards too. There's no need to worry about navigation, where to park etc allowing you to take time to soak in the stunning views and enjoy great company. Led by a Hill and Moorland Leader who is Outdoor First Aid Trained and will support you along the way.
