Service Description

Canihike Lyme Park Canihike is hands free walking with your dogs under close control, we use Canicross harnesses and commands but not Canicross pace! It helps create a strong bond with your dog and is a great way to get out during lambing and ground nesting bird season. After a short warm up for the humans we'll harness the dogs up and set off on a walk of approximately 4km - 5km taking in some of the sights Lyme Park has to offer. Come and join us on a social walk on a circular route of around 5km within the Historic Estate of Lyme Park Nestling on the edge of the Peak District, Lyme was once home to the Legh family, and in its heyday a great sporting estate. The estate covers approx 1400 acres, so offers lots of different walks with varying terrain and stunning views, we may see some of their famous deer herds and highland cattle too. Walk Details Time 9:00 - 10:30 Distance approx distance of 5km (3 Miles) Elevation Gain varies Terrain a variety of woodland trails, rocky bridlepaths, canal towpaths, fields and quiet roads. What to expect. There is a short warm-up before the walk and stretches after it. Great views diverse scenery Insights into local history along the way A supportive social atmosphere No need to worry about navigation (Minimum age of dog to be over 12 months, larger breeds may need to be older)
