On Friday we met at Bramhall Park, before passing the impressive Tudor House of Bramall Hall and making our way through the landscaped gardens to Happy Valley which is a designated nature reserve that's home to a wide variety of habitats and wildlife, including woodland, marshy grassland, ponds and streams it also forms part of the Ladybrook Valley.
After crossing the A623 we made our way alongside Poynton Pool which used to boast a grand manor house. We then re-crossed the A623 and made our way along tracks and trails which appeared to be related to the past Manor House, judging by some of the house names. There were some surprising views of Lyme Park as we made our way back to Bramhall before making our way down and up through Carr Wood to Bramhall Park.
