Lyme Park and Black Rocks

Updated: Oct 19, 2023

It was a bit of a grey morning for this walk which saw us leave Lyme Park and head alongside Bollinhurst Reservoir and up to Black Rocks above Disley. The wind started to pick up as we went along the ridge and it was quite a shock to the system as we climbed the near vertical stile midway along, as we nearly got blown off the top!

Thankfully we soon dropped down in to the relative comfort of the open access land leading towards High Peak School, we then joined the alternative route for The Gritstone Trail before heading back into Lyme Park.

Distance 9.9km with 270m of height gain
