On Saturday we met at Longnor Marketplace, it was already starting to warm up as we finished our stretches before setting off, we made our way down to Begger's Bridge with great views across the valley in all directions and some sneak peaks of the hills we'd come to walk round. We had a short break outside the Quiet Woman Public House, the sign refers to a landlord in the past who allegedly chopped his wife's head off to stop her ranting at him day and night! We then continued along the road before dropping into Dowel Dale and ascending for more views of Chrome Hill before going around Hollins Hill, we then had a lovely tea break at Hollinsclough Chapel Tearoom. After this we headed to the foot of Parkhouse Hill before the steady climb back into Longnor. 13.1km covered and 375m gained in height.
